It's hard to believe that it's been over two years since the moment in that icon. Winning gold in Vancouver was the best moment of my career and one of the best of my life after the birth of my kid and marrying my wife. |

• What is your real, birth name? What name do you use?: Jayden Cash Daniels but I usually go by JC.
• Do you have a nickname? What is it, and where did you get it?: I sure do it's JC. I'm not really sure how I got it other than it's shortened version of my name and honestly it's what I've been called for as long as I can remember.
• In your opinion, what is your best feature?: Well my wife would say that it's my athletic skater's body, but, in my opinion, I think it's my butt.
• What's your real birth date?: February 18, 1986
• Where do you live? Describe it: Is it messy, neat, avant-garde, sparse, etc.?: HAHAH the house I share with my wife is kept pretty neat for the most part whenever she is home because she is a bit of a neat freak, but when I'm left to my own devices anytime she's away for a competition it can get pretty messy.
• What is your most prized mundane possession? Why do you value it so much?: Wow that is kind of tough to choose between two things. The two things being the World Championship medal that I won last March and the second being the Olympic gold medal that I recently won on what also happened to be my 24th birthday. I think the reason I value them so much is pretty obvious. It proves that hard work really does pay off sometimes.
• What one word best describes you?: Athletic.
Family Questions
• What is your family like?: My family is great! They've always been so very supportive of my figure skating dreams even though it can get pretty expensive at times. Then there's my absolutely amazing wife Aimee. She and I met when we were both competing at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy and hit it off immediately.
•Who is your father, and what is he like?: My dad's great. He's always been supportive of my love for figure skating even though I'm sure he would have preferred for his son to have taken up a more "manly" sport.
•Who is your mother, and what is she like?: I love my mom, it can sometimes be hard for me to compete in person though. Like for the Olympics, she watched me compete on TV from across town at her hotel and then made her way to the venue to be there in time to see me get my gold medal.
• What was your parents' marriage like? Were they married? Did they remain married?: They are still happily married to this day.
• What are your siblings' names? What are they like?: I have one little sister named Bethany Anne, and I can be pretty protective of her.
• What's the worst thing one of your siblings ever did to you? What's the worst thing you've done to one of your siblings?: Honestly the worst was just the usual teasing that goes on between siblings. |
